MINUTES OF THE MEETING

April 6th., 2022

Meeting was called to order by President Steve Harder at 7:00 p.m.  There were five members present.  Steve, Dennis, Jim, Steve, and Larry.   Steve announced that all of the AMA Charter paperwork for the year had been taken care of.   He then gave us financial report.

There was a discussion about the new requirement that all flyers had to take the TRUST test.  It’s a super simple common sense test.  It is comprised of some modules.  First you read a short article, then you answer questions about article.  Then you do same with rest of modules.  When you pass, it will automatically create a certificate that you need to save and printout and carry on you when you fly.   This is in addition to the FAA license you are required to have and put on each plane or drone you fly.   Search for FAA Trust Test.   They don’t save anything, so if you don’t save or print your certificate before you leave, you have to start over from scratch.

Steve contacted Pride Porta Pots and has a new unit already positioned at the field until end of September.

No one reported building any new planes over the winter.    Since Covid and crappy weather last year, no one had a need to build anything new.   Dennis is hoping that his eyesight and new glasses will allow him to fly again this year.    All we need is to have some decent weather for a change.

After the meeting, we decided to see if the tractor would start.   It didn’t, but a little starter fluid finally got it running.

Next meeting is scheduled for May 4th. 2022 at the field at 7:00 p.m.
