It's time to fly again
Radio Control Flying Club AMA #375
Our flying field and meeting site is located between Baroda and Bridgeman Michigan at 9974 Miller road just south of Shawnee and west of Cleveland.
New owner requests that we use north driveway instead of driveway by house and that we text him at 708-431-9287 before going out to field to give them a heads up.
I think that this is the guy we were trying to remember that Bob brought to meeting.
UPDATE: 5/8/25 Dave mowed the field today.
While we wait for some nice weather, go online and watch some great videos: I will put in some links the next few days. In meantime I suggest you watch some great videos of TV actor, movie actor, great late night tv guest, and owner of Tyler Perry Studios near Atlanta and see his amazing array of planes and his home field just for flying and his hangers for his planes. So just do a generic search for Tyler Perry RC and be in for some great videos. Also you can search Ramy Rc, who builds and adapts some of his planes. You’ll see high quality planes, with flaps, retractable gear and doors, brakes, speed brakes, telemetry feedback, so listen carefully. Landings where he smokes the tires and burns them off. Auto reversing thrust. The battery compartment alone is worth watching. He’s converting all his planes to electric for noise, partially because he doesn’t want to disturb the wildlife on his property. One of the nicest guys to walk the planet and full on rc advocate. Listen to their conversations they are fun as well.

Hopefully we will start getting some nicer weather so we can start flying soon. Mower has been repaired and ready to use. Grease front wheels frequently as bearings are pretty well shot.
Don’t forget to take your FAA TRUST test. Its super easy, just read everything then answer.

Model Aviation has been a cornerstone of many of the lives of thousands of people, from ordinary people to heros. Many of our astronauts and pilots got their start in aviation by building and flying model airplanes.
Fresh air, sunshine, friendship, fun….what more could you want from a great hobby.
3/7/21 Lots of changes so please don’t go out to fly until Steve gets all the new rules written up for me to post and send out to everyone. We have a new owner, there are changes to days and times for flying new owner has requested, and he has requested that we no longer use the driveway up by the house and southside of hanger, but use the northern drive like we used to a few years ago.
10/25/2020 Updating and creating new website. Dennis last mowed 10/6/20. Next meeting will be at the field Spring of 2021. Hoping that 2021 will be a much better year for everyone, and that weather and circumstances will allow us all to get out and enjoy life.
Welcome to our new website that is still under construction. We are just learning how to use the new software and playing around with different features and things. So some things are here just to play with ideas, and somethings still aren't developed so they don't work yet. Over the winter we will continue to develop, so check back often. Larry.
